The Class of 2026, is honored to share a deep and meaningful bond with our legacy class, the Class of 1976. This relationship goes beyond tradition, as they celebrate their 50th anniversary and generously offer us guidance, mentorship, and inspiration. Through shared experiences and a mutual commitment to the core values of integrity, service, and excellence, our legacy class plays a crucial role in shaping us into the future leaders of the Air Force. We take pride in carrying forward the traditions and lessons passed down by the Class of 1976, ensuring that their legacy of leadership continues to thrive.

Our connection with the Class of 1976 is enriched by the significant milestones in our nation’s history that both classes represent. They graduated during the United States Bicentennial, a time of profound national pride and reflection on 200 years of independence. Now, as we prepare to celebrate the Semiquincentennial, marking 250 years of American freedom, we draw inspiration from the patriotism that defined their time at the Academy. The spirit of dedication and love for country that they have instilled in us continues to influence and guide us as we look forward to serving during another landmark moment in our nation’s history. The Spirit Lives in '26.
